one year later

When I posted Busty Cops on June 20th, 2008, I had no idea where Softcore Heaven was going. As a softcore fan who had leeched from various sites, I just wanted to give a little back and maybe interest others in the softcore genre.

It's been a year since I started the blog. After over 600 posts and nearly 2 million page views, running Softcore Heaven has gone from being fun to being a burden. Family, friends, work and other interests are competing with this little hobby for my time. Those of you who have their own site know how much time and energy is needed to do this. You others should try it, google blogger is free and easy to use.

Like I've always said, there are many good sites out there where you can find what you're looking for. Actually, I tip my hat to some of you who have really put up kick-ass sites with excellent and hard to find content. I always share links to what I consider good sites - check them out. Croaker, Cheenu, SoftRob and Punkass, for example are doing great work, there are others. Keep it going, all of you!



All the clips and films here were originally ripped and posted by someone else. So to all those who actually do the work of ripping and making clips - my thanks to you!

It would be wrong to forget the filmmakers. The writers, producers, directors and actors who create the movies we love to watch. I hope that you appreciate their combined efforts as much as I do. A big thank you to all of you!

I understand that when your copyrighted material is pirated and made available for free you are losing potential revenue. I certainly would not be happy with that situation, so I can understand your efforts to fight this trend. My aim was always to sustain and generate new interest in the softcore genre. Those of us who enjoy softcore and want to see new material in the future need to support the filmmakers by purchasing the material when possible.



There was a little discussion about this topic on softcorereviews. Producer/writer/director John Quinn said: "I'd be more than happy to give clips to various sites that I felt were benefiting the genre or complimenting our work".

Will I be back? Right now I don't think so. I'm burned out from running this site. The past year has been great. If nothing else, I learned how much work it is to do this. Remember, that the people who run blogs like this one don't owe you anything. As much as we could use the money, you are not paying us. We are doing this work for free because we want to share with you.

So, that's it for now. Softcore Heaven has run out of steam. Be good and spread the love.
